Tailored, Reliable Daytime Care
As the first program of its kind in Edmonton, the Devonshire Adult Day Program is designed for senior adults who would benefit from an engaging and supportive daytime environment while continuing to live at home.
Operating Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the program provides care for up to 40 participants a day. We specifically aim to support caregivers by providing reliable daytime care, offering you the peace of mind and time you need to rest, work, or attend to other responsibilities. Participants attend during the day and return home in the afternoon, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving meaningful support.

Nutrition
Food is an important part of the day, which is why we provide a nutritious hot lunch and healthy snacks daily. We gladly accommodate special diets to ensure all nutritional needs are comfortably met.
Social & Recreational Activities
Supporting every aspect of well-being, we offer a safe, social, and supportive day experience. Participants enjoy a structured day filled with social interaction, community connection, group programs, recreational games, and cognitive stimulation programs. We also incorporate group therapeutic exercise programs focused on strength and mobility. For those who need a break, opportunities for rest, relaxation, and quiet time are seamlessly integrated into the daily schedule.
Clinical Care & Caregiver Support
Our program is ideal for individuals who may require assistance with daily living or who are experiencing early-stage dementia or cognitive changes. We provide monitoring and clinical support, which includes medication support, vital sign clinics, and cognitive testing. Dedicated personal care support, including bathing assistance, is also available to ensure participants’ unique needs are fully supported.
Your loved one’s well-being is our priority, which is why we also provide an emergency response and dedicated staff supervision during all program hours. Beyond providing daytime respite for family and caregivers, we offer education and support resources for families, health system navigation, and guidance on higher levels of care, as needs change.
Operated by Park Place Seniors Living
The Devonshire Adult Day Program is part of Park Place Seniors Living – a Canadian, Family-Owned and operated company. Founders Al and Jenny Jina’s story began in 1993 when Jenny—a nurse who has worked with seniors her entire career—and her husband Al opened the first Park Place residence in Nelson, BC. Their vision was simple yet powerful: to enrich the lives of seniors and set a new standard of care.
Since then, the Park Place family has grown to more than 40 residences across BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Our communities include independent retirement living, supportive and assisted living, long-term care, and our flagship Devonshire Adult Day Program – each designed to meet the unique needs of seniors at every stage. From the very beginning, Park Place has been built on trust, integrity, and a dedication to truly personalized care. We’ve been a family from day one, and we’re proud to welcome you into it.
